guided trail rides and riding school
The Wohlwend family loves horses and nature and is glad to share their passion with like-minded guests. Kids and adults can find at the Suot Spuondas farm in Pontresina a real Paradise all year round: gentle, friendly horses, ponys and donkey for beginners and advanced riders. Together with Gina on the family run farm almost everything is possible.

Trail rides
Older kids, teen-agers and adults can take part to our 3-hours event. Together we clean and tack up the horses, tune up to our horse and get to know it. This event features at least 1 hour riding. We have several kinds of horses – from the pony and donkey to the big heavy horses, warmbloods and the fast thoroughbred – for riders of any level.
Younger kids' horses are led by the rope, so that they can concentrate on the horse and themselves. To those who only want to try the riding experience, without tacking up the horse themselves, we offer this service as an extra.

Riding lessons
Lunge lessons
Besides trail rides we also offer riding lessons in our riding arena. During a lunge lesson we work on balance, coordination and the right position. The rider feels safe and can develop trust in the horse and an independent seat. In such a supervised environment the lesson can be tailored to the rider needs.
Riding lessons
Those who have some more experience take part to a riding lessons in the arena. We teach many aspects: aids, school figures or small jumps. Our goal is to give the rider a solid foundation. Those who want to take the Brevet can join the tailor-made preparation course.
Riding lessons are usually given in winter and spring. Due to the high request for trail ride in summer we only go out in the beautiful Engadin nature during the summer months. During the summer our riding school students join the guests and we go out for our trail rides with many different horses. This allows them to know different horses and gradually face new challenges. Kids and adults learn how to clearly communicate their intentions and make it clear for the horse. In winter and spring hour riding school students take part to the lessons in the arena, where they learn more theory.

Gina
Gina Wohlwend, mother of 4 and adoptive mother of ponys, horses, donkeys, cats and dogs shines like the sun in this beautiful high valley. She conveys to young and older kids, but to adults too, the right way to approach horses. Learning to ride, to take care of the horses and how to use the tack – everything is interconnected. Gina is a professional hotel manager and farmer and loves being a host as well as managing her land. However, Gina must always define her priorities. She has taken her SFRV Diploma in 2008 as C Trainer and is Level 1 Centered Riding instructor. She is currently studying to become a Horse Facility Manager (Pferdefachfrau EFZ) in order to teach students who wish to take the same path.
